And yet another card for the gift set

Today is Day 38 at 365 cards and the challenge was to use this quilt pattern to create a card. I decided, again, to make one for my MIL's gift. I'm sure everyone is getting tired of this pp!! I even got my sewing machine out for this one - definitely not a card I would usually do, but it was fun.

Another Thank you for gift set

I decided to use my craft time today to make another card for my MILs card set.
I used this sketch, # 81 at Mojo Monday (the first time I've been to this blog and it looks great) and today's challenge at 365 cards to dress up some chipboard.
I sponged 3 colors of ink on the chipboard flower, stamped a stitch looking circle and added some glitter to that then topped it off with a flower.

Jordyn 17th Birthday

Today is my niece's 17th birthday! I can't believe it's possible. She's not very girly-girly, so I made her a card that wasn't too feminine, but I did add a bit of bling and some mini pink beads along the bottom. I used the color combination Dawn McVey put together for her 3rd week at Raspberry Suite color challenges and the Sunday sketch at 365 cards (both pictured below)

Skating Fun

Trying to work my way through some old photos. These were from New Year's Day 2003, the first time Connor was on skates.

I took color inspiration from this photo at Scrap Schemes:

and used this great sketch by Deanne Burton at Sisterhood of Scrap.

And this is what I came up with:

HB2U Nathan

Here's what I came up with for my 14 yo nephew's birthday. 14 yo boys could probably care less about getting a card from Auntie, but hey, it's what I do. To help me come up with an idea, I used this week's color combo from kwernerdesigns (although based on my poor photo taking skills, it's hard to tell it's the right color combo) and sketch #51 at Triple the Sketch (both pictured below):

Feel Better Soon

Today's card is for an Aunt of mine who is waiting patiently for the call for a surgery she's been needing. I thought I'd get the card ready for when she gets the call.
I combined two challenges today:

This ad challenge from 365 cards - I included some flowers and of course the colors white & pink with a bit of green.

and this week's sketch from Card Patterns, a sketch blog that I just found (lots of great eye candy by the design team).

And here's my card:

Birdie thinking of you

Today's challenge at 365 cards was to create a card in honor of Easter, specifically with either an EGG or an OVAL as the dominating shape. It is not necessary to make an Easter card. This is what I came up with:
